Rare has announced that it will be running an alpha for Sea of Thieves over the course of three days from December 16 through December 18, 2016. There be a rub, however: only 1,000 ‘insiders’ will be given a time-slot during that period in which to play and report issues. You can join Rare’s insiders program on its site.
Alpha testers will have the rare opportunity to give direct feedback on the game to help them improve the experience, but a non-disclosure agreement will be necessary.
