Right after Defense Grid
Frankly, I didn’t think Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed II were that impressive as headlining acts when Microsoft unveiled its plans for the new Games for Gold initiative. That said — and this comes from a place of love, because I genuinely dug the game way back when — they were much bigger deals than Defense Grid, of all things.
The tower defense title will remain free until July 16, which is when Assassin’s Creed II steps up to the plate, Xbox Live’s Larry Hryb has confirmed. A years-old game in a franchise many of you seem to be increasingly tired of, but at least it won’t cost anything extra to nab. You know, I might actually hit them up on this offer. Just so I have it.
