So that’s why Nintendo held off on the announcement
Captain Toad: Treasure Trackerwill be getting its long-awaited amiibo support on March 20. The game will use the new Toad amiibo, which is set to arrive as part of the Mario-specific line.
This must be why Nintendo has been quiet about amiibo support for the game — it was waiting to announce the all-new Mariofigures. It makes sense, since Toad isn’t a Super Smash Bros.fighter.
