Destiny 2 is drastically changing controller sensitivity options

You can double your sensitivity now

For a long, long time, Destiny 2 controller players have wanted more options. I may as well go back to the original Destiny, actually. But once the current-gen upgrades came out, a lot of those wishlist items (like FOV sliders) did make it in, but there’s still more work to be done. Bungie agrees, especially when it comes to controller sensitivity.

According to Bungie:

“The Traction mod felt mandatory for PvP on controller and unnecessary on mouse and keyboard. This felt to be more appropriate as an accessibility option rather than a balance choice. Players (including us) have also long felt that maximum 10 sensitivity wasn’t enough on controller, so we’re making some changes to bring controller input closer to parity with keyboard and mouse.”

Oh hey, we were just talking about this!

In short, there will now be a “sprint turn speed scalar option” (with values 0.3 to 0.8), and the traction mod has been removed entirely. New controller sensitivity options include 11-20, on top of the previous 1-10 system. ADS has its own modifier too, from 0.5 -1.5.

It seems as if it’s as simple as that, which is pretty straightforward for Bungie. It solves two problems in one, and not only benefits PVP players as intended, but PVE as well.
