Get to know the people that make great videogames
Last week on Sup Holmes (now on iTunes) we were treated to the company of Rich “Disasterpeace” Vreeland, most well know for his work on Fez, Krunch, Runner2, Bonk, and… yikes, so many other games. If I tried to list them all it would turn into such a huge blur of words that your eyes would probably get overwhelmed and fall out in protest, and that’s not going to change any time soon. Rich is working on about 12 projects as we speak. That’s bonkers. This guy is totally bonkers.
We talked about where the composer fits in the world of game design, his forays into solo development (like January), how he chooses projects and collaborators, touring with Akira Yamaoka, the definition of “Chip Tune,” and a lot more.
Thanks again to Rich for appearing on the show, and tune in tomorrow when we welcome Holly Pickering (White Paper Games, formerly of Traveler’s Tales) to the program. Her new upcoming game Ether Onecould be the next big thing. Come back and talk to her about it on Sunday 1pm PST/4pm EST.
