One Night Live

In recent years, The Last of Ushas been held among many as a shining example of what narrative in videogames can accomplish. In one week, we’ll get to see if its story translates fluidly to other mediums, as it’ll be performed live on-stage.

On July 28 in on the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, Geoff Keighley and Naughty Dog are putting together The Last of Us: One Night Live. The performance will featureTroy Baker, Ashley Johnson, Merle Dandridge, Hana Hayes, and Annie Wersching. Additionally, the game’s composer will perform songs from the original score.

Keighley calls the entire event an “experimental project” and admits that “how this all fits together will remain a bit of a mystery until it happens.” One thing’s for sure though — this is the only chance to catch this performance. Unfortunately, the event’s already at capacity, as the free tickets were snatched up quickly. However, Sony’s broadcasting it on YouTube, Twitch, and PSN’s Live Event Viewer, so you can still be there without really being there.
