Looks like Halo 5 in 2015
Just like Halo: Combat Evolvedin 2011, it’s looking as if Microsoft will similarly celebrate the tenth anniversary of the release of Halo 2. While the fairly predictable rumor had been swirling around for a while, a voice actor has all but confirmed it.
Steve Downes, the voice of Master Chief, told GameZoneof Microsoft’s intentions, along with an update on 343 Industries’ saga. He commented“I think you may be ahead of yourself on Halo 5. I wouldn’t expect anything until 2015. What you can look forward to this year is an anniversary edition of Halo 2.”
We’ve known for a while now that we’ll see more Halo this year, but everyone’s been mum on the details. Polygon reached out to Microsoft who wouldn’t confirm anything apart from “your next Halojourney will begin in 2014.” In the likely event that the Halo 2rumor is true, this journey feels less like a step forward, and more like a giant sidestep through familiar territory. Albeit, that territory covers one of the greatest games on the Xbox platform.
