Hold up: The MIDA Multi-Tool is coming back to Destiny

Heyyyyy

When Destinymade the jump to “Year 2” with The Taken King, a number of Exotics didn’t make it along for the ride. A huge one is theGjallarhorn, a notoriously unbalanced rocket launcher that nearly every raid group “required” for public runs. But there’s a number of good Exotics that are far better than the ones included in Year 2.

My personal favorite, the MIDA Multi-Tool, is confirmed to return in Year Two, pending the arrival of the December update. I typically only use it for my Hunter, but in essence, it’s a scout rifle (my favorite weapon type) that makes you run extremely fast, with the added ability to see the radar while aiming down your sight.

It sounds small but the speed boost is relatively crazy, and on a maxed out agility Hunter you can basically run twice as fast as any other class. A few other are confirmed to return, like the Armamentarium, theNothing Manacles, and the underwhelming Dragon’s Breath (which might be alright now since the ‘horn is out) — more will be revealed leading up to December, and others are already on the landing page.

As fun as it will be to boost the MIDA up to 320 for a while, it doesn’t stop the fact that there’s still no real fresh content in the game. Raid challenges still haven’t been delivered, and my group is basically taking a break to play Fallout 4or Battlefrontuntil they drop. Bungie has a long road ahead as there’s no other expansion in sight.
