Diablo x Bayonetta x Captain Toad
The video above is a little on the long side, but it is worth watching. It usually takes a lot to get me interested in anything fantasy-themed (more like Bored of the Rings, right?), but Lost Ark looks like it might be the exception to the rule. It starts off with some beautiful vistas, which are soon cut into by an invading demon army.
The first hero shown might win the 2014 award for most absurd sword, with something that looks more like a Tyrannosaurus rex tail than anything else. Combat looks like a cross between Diablo and Bayonetta, with special abilities on cooldown that have huge areas of effect, summoning fiery bird-things and a giant foot. Maybe it’s just me, but some of the boss battles remind me of more sinister versions of the dragon encounter in Captain Toad than anything else. Yeah, that’s probably just me.
As a Korean-developed title, there is no word currently on localization Western territories, but any who can get past the language barrier can sign up for the beta now.
