Also, Phantom Hourglass
Having run the Nintendo Download column every Thursday for the past several years, I always think about how they could have handled this generation differently. Imagine if there was an “all you can eat” Virtual Console service that undercut Sony’s PlayStation Now, for a small fee?
How many people would look into that and buy a Wii U or 3DS just for that reason? Why would Nintendo instead drip feed one or two classic games a month, tops, when that’s what they’re best at? Alas, another classic Zelda game is out on Wii U this week, so it’s…something I guess!
The Wii u is getting a pair of old powerhouses today actually — Super Meat Boyand Phantom Hourglass. That’s in addition to Color Symphony 2, 8-Bit Hero, Tachyon Project, Queens Garden, and the Minecraft Mario Mash-Up Pack.
On 3DS you’ll find Disney Art Academy, as well as Wordsup! Academy, and aWitch & Hero 2demo.
If you missed last week’s edition, hereit is. As for what I’m getting, I have called Super Meat Boya “modern classic” many times, and I’ll stand by it again on Wii U.For those who are interested, sales are going onfor both the Wii U and 3DS.
