While I still haven’t gotten my own anime mascot, one more surefire thing happened: the Oculus Rift bore a lot of porn experiments. There were fake boobs to grab, real-life sex toys to hump in calibration to the anime girls glued to your goggles. Hell, the liquid gold rush started in late 2012.
With an early 2016 consumer release date all this Oculus porn will be coming soon (hah-hah) and Oculus founder Palmer Luckey has no plans to infringe on our God-given, constitutional rights to j/o with the most advanced consumer-grade technology at any given time (just imagine what those with access to military-grade tech are cranking it to!)
At the Silicon Valley Virtual Reality Conference, Luckey explained, “The rift is an open platform. We don’t control what software can run on it. And that’s a big deal.”
It is a big deal. And will become a bigger deal when folks naturally abuse this freedom and start putting some supremely vile shit up on it.
