And $5.75 shipping; they always get you on the shipping

One reddit user accidentally picked up a defective Samus Aran amiibo, and he’s going to profit considerably off of it — more than one G per arm cannon. The rare Samus amiibo, which was put on eBay one week ago, just sold for $2,500. It received 75 bids during that time, as many surely wanted a piece of Nintendo history, and definitely didn’t want to simply flip it in a few years.

While this is an extraordinary example, it isn’t necessarily isolated. The gains are enough that you might want to keep an eye open next time you’re in the store. If you see anything off about any amiibo — like a Pikachu with two tails or Link holding a hot dog — you’ll probably want to shell out the $15 and then laugh all the way to the bank.
