To be released on the eShop?

If an ESRB rating found by Nintendo Life is to be believed, it looks like Super Mario Galaxy is coming to the Wii U.

Don’t get too excited, because it’s more than likely that this won’t be a remake or an HD remastering. If it was, it would’ve been given its own separate rating through the ESRB, much like Wind Waker HD. As it is, this listing includes both the Wii and the Wii U, which suggests it’s going to be released on the American eShop instead.

The Wii U is already backward compatible with Wii games, so I’m not entirely sure how much of a demand there is for a digital release of Super Mario Galaxy. But it’s coming nonetheless, and at leastit means you can get rid of the box to save some space?

As this isn’t an official announcement, there aren’t any release dates available. It would be a nice way to bring a close to 2015 though, so my guess is that it’ll hit the American eShop by the end of the year.
