You’ve still got money left, right?

There’s still a debate about crowdfunding’s ongoing viability as a way of game development but when you look at just how many videogames have found life through Kickstarter, it seems like it isn’t going away any time soon. Steam is running a special Kickstarter sale alongside its current summer sale which highlighted to me just how many games have been through Kickstarter.

Of course there’s big name titles like Broken Age, Sir, You Are Being Hunted, Wasteland 2, Shadowrun Returns, Broken Sword 5, Mercenary Kings, Lily Looking Through, and Awesomenauts but there’s also some notable title that I hadn’t realized had come through Kickstarter like Edge of Space, SpaceChem, Paper Sorcerer, Risk of Rain, and The Fall.

Strangely enough, there’s a few titles that are listed but not reduced like the recently released Xenonauts, Stomping Lands, and the upcoming Sunless Sea. Still, if you’re looking for some more cheap games and a reminder of the sheer variety of Kickstarter-backed videogames there are available. There’s close to 100 titles that are included in the sale which is running until June 30.
