And help me decode these lyrics
There’s almost nothing better than a Persona game opening. It’s right up there with eating heaping cups of froyo, or finding money on the ground, or being under a dog pile of corgis.
Atlus has outdone themselves with the opening for new (well in Japan, at least) 3DS RPG Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. It has all the required bits like cute animations, smiling, running, bubbly feelings, lots of color, rocking music, and hard-to-understand lyrics.
Hype level? Upper atmosphere.
I’ve made an attempt to try to decode the lyrics below as I feel like I’ve leveled up my Shoji Meguro vocal song listening skill over these past few years. If it’s not too late yet let’s beat the whole misheard lyrics thing before it takes over! Help me out in the comments.
Verse:
Ain’t it great how we met each other
on this wild and crazy carousel of life
Ain’t it cool how we changed [the hassles?] of life
set us off on a new adventure!
Chorus:
This carousel takes us round and round
this lovely [rinse?] of life
you can’t tell up from down
having so much
[people check when this Christmas painting unn!]
but hey, here we come!
This carousel
spins us ’round so much
sometimes you don’t know [shoes?]
[his tail or yellow?]
it’s only just begun
welcome to this [white mace?] of life.
