WildStar has now finally ditched the subscription and gone free-to-play.
The trailer is absolutely amazing. It’s got the vibe of a Borderlands trailer, and the animation style of a League of Legends one. Seriously, as far as animated trailers go, this is one of the best I’ve seen.
You can sign up and download WildStar on the NCSoft website. However, when I tried the servers appeared to be getting hammered (this is an MMO launch after all), so maybe wait a day or two before jumping on board.
The interesting question to ask is do you think subscription fees are still a viable model for an MMO?
