This is the type of thing you’d normally shake your head at and write off, but it actually happened.As part of a world summit on the Internet at the Vatican (real thing), popular YouTuber MatPat was invited, and was given the opportunity to “present a gift to the Pope.”
In the video below he explains why he ended up choosing Undertale, which was given to Pope Francis in the form of a digital Steam code.In essence, he thinks that it not only represents where we’re at as a community, but it also falls in line with the “Year of Mercy” theme that the Vatican decreed this year.
We’ve reached out to the Vatican to follow up on this story to see if the Pope actually played it.
