Apple simply won't allow you to grow marijuana on its watch

But the game doesn’t look so great anyway, for real

I’m not one for censorship, but after the debacle we just saw with a game that teaches women how to masturbate, I’m genuinely not surprised to see a game about cultivating marijuana removed from the App Store. Weed Firm: The Vicious and Lawless Career of Mr. Ted Growing is no longer available, prompting an impassioned blog post at developer Manitoba Games’ official site.

Despite Weed Life reaching number one on the US App Store in Games and then subsequently the All Categories list, Apple has deemed the app unacceptable and nipped it in the bud. Ted of Manitoba Games is adamant that the game will return, however, though it will require alterations.

“One thing we can promise you is that we will be back! The Apple version might need to be censored a bit to comply with Apple’s strictest requirement since they are going to be looking very attentively at what we submit from now on.”

In all honesty though, the game looks pretty awful. The sophomoric humor involving “crooked cops” and gang members is cringe-worthy, and there’s a horrific-looking stripper minigame. It’s like a member of Dethklok threw on a wig and stood stationary on a stage while some embarrassing music plays, if the trailer is any indication. But if this is your thing, Weed Firm 2 is on the way, so that’s cool? Or whatever?
