Yoda unthreatened
A new Japanese commercial for Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie gives us a quick look at an infant version of the famous blue blur, dubbed “Baby Sonic”.
The cutesy chump is seeing running through his homestead of Green Hill Zone, before arriving at his destination clutching a flower. A new poster also spotlights Baby Sonic, and a special tie-in promotion offers Japanese theatre-goers the opportunity to bag an exclusive key-ring of the pint-sized hero.
Of course, Walt Disney were recently able to point a bazillion eyes at its new Star Wars television series The Mandalorian after its adorable “Baby Yoda” character went viral on social media. No doubt Paramount are hoping that the doe-eyes of Baby Sonic will help bring around similar marketing success. Personally, I can’t get over the fact he wore gloves even as a toddler.
