The DLC era has ended
Late last night, Bayonetta and Corrin finally arrived in Super Smash Bros., signaling the end of the DLC era for the game as the final content drop. They came with a bunch of new Mii costumes, and a Bayonetta level. At this point the game has 56 characters in all, and there’s even a “post-launch” character bundle that packs in all the fighter DLC (Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy, Ryu, Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta) for $34.93 ($41.93 for both Wii U and 3DS). There’s also a stage bundle for $8.46 ($14.45 for both) that comes with five arenas.
I really think they knocked it out of the park with this iteration. Meleebenefits from great mechanics, Brawlhas a ton of cool fighters and lots of content — and the new one managed to mesh them into a really badass amalgamation. Expect thoughts from Patrick soon on the pair.
