Participants have been pre-selected

It turns out that Sony has a Bloodborne alpha planned for North America after all. This morning, invites went out for Sony Computer Entertainment European territories, and invites confirming North American participants will go out later today.

A representative from Sony Computer Entertainment America verified the news to Destructoid and elaborated on how the process works. In North America, participants were pre-selected based on eligibility. This necessitated PlayStation 4 ownership and a specific Trophy requirement across Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, and/or Dark Souls IIon PS3.

For anyone who doesn’t make the cut, but is hoping to get in anyway — sorry, no such luck. SCEA stressed that the North American Bloodborne alpha is strictly a development tool and is not intended to promote the game. As such, it’s not open to the public, and any requests beyond those that are pre-selected will not be fulfilled.
