Borderlands supported on Xbox One Backward Compatibility in November

‘Strip the flesh, salt the wound’

Current-generation console owners have been able to get their Borderlands fix via The Handsome Collection, but the game that started it all is notably missing from the HD rerelease. Soon enough, Xbox One users will have a way around that: Borderlands will be supported by the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program when it launches for the general public.

Though it was only officially announced today on Major Nelson’s blog, we have seen hints of it in the past. Along with the written list of currently available games, Borderlands shows up in a piece of promotional art for the program. Going by that, it’s probably safe to expect Halo 3, Halo Wars, and Fable IIto show up in the near future.
