Naked Monkey Wizard is a bastard

We are the first generation of people who have grown up caring about little virtual meters. We’ve been conditioned to become aroused when we see them fill up. When our download bit rates suddenly rise, so do our heart rates. A well designed progress bar can make total physical and mental inertial feel like a productive work out.

Like Little Inferno, Candy Box 2 works to both poke fun at this phenomena while also utilizing it deliver some genuinely good times. Just like the original, youstart the game with a simple mechanic — ever second that passes nets you one piece of candy. By then end, you’ll have created magical pink gloves, battled sharks, talked to a Cyclops, and perhaps most exciting, utilized a fictional candy based economy to gain lollipops at a rate beyond your wildest dreams.

Taking a chance on lollipop ranching has been one of the more pleasant surprises I’ve had with videogames this year. I hope you like it too.
