New visuals and lobby options

Over at the Capcom Unity blog, the developer has announced that a small update is coming to their retro compendium, the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle, which launched on consoles and PC last month.

The new update – which rolls out in November – will add a selection of new screen filters to the release, allowing for the insertion of CRT-style scanlines for that true arcade look. New screen ratios will also be included to take better advantage of various monitor sizes. Also added will be a new online option, allowing hosts to toggle whether they want to allow players to jump into games mid-session.

Unfortunately, there appears to be no word as to whether this update will include tweaks to the bundle’s online stability, which is pretty atrocious, and doubly so for games that are 30 years old. Hopefully some sort of fix is in the works.

Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
