Best known for manic consolearcade bullet-hell shooters, like Deathsmiles and Akai Katana, Cave is mixing up the formula slightly with their next mobile shmup release, Don Paccin.
The vertical shooter, slated for both iOS and Android, focuses on upgrading the power of your ship (I’m thinking of the story mode in Radiant Silvergun) over random power-ups dropped throughout a stage. The game will also sport a fuel system and random items akin to other Japanese social titles.
Looks pretty cool. If it’s half as good as my favorite iOS shooter, Bug Princess, then consider me sold.
