‘More like Call of Duty’ doesn’t mean it won’t have wackiness afoot
I know it’s easy to hate on the many shortcomings of the Xbox One, but one thing I never understood was the immediate hate unleashed upon Dead Rising 3. Yes, the concept of “appealing to Call of Duty fans” is a bit disappointing, but without a tad more footage, I wasn’t so sure the team would be completely ignoring the franchise’s wacky roots.
Thankfully, this new video from Capcom shows that the craziness is still very much alive and well, augmented with the power of next-generation consoles that allow more zombies than ever before on-screen, and a world “larger than the first two games combined.” The highlights of the above video include wrestling outfits, one-piece swimsuits, and crazy machine-gun-toting teddy bears.
While I’m notcompletely sold on Dead Rising 3, I will be giving it a shot before I write it off entirely.
