Expected to increase in 2014

Downloadable content has been a tricky business for Capcom over the years. A quick search of the words “on disc DLC” promptly brings up the Japanese developer’s name before any other company. Even with their struggles of discerning best business practices though, things are starting to look up for the house of Street Fighter and Resident Evil.

In their most recent quarterly earnings announcement, Capcom reported thatDLC is about “15% or 16% of sales in the consumer business.” Additionally, they believe this ratio will continue to grow in 2014.
