Due later this year

We’re in a resplendent era of RPG tabletop games, with Gloomhaven leading the charge. Over the past several years there’s been a resurgence in theDragonStrike-esque D&D-lite genre, and many IPs, from Dark Soulsto Fallout, have taken the plunge.

That latter one is important, as Bethesda enjoyed the collaboration with Falloutboard game creatorModiphius (which handledWasteland Warfare) so much that they’re doing it again. Elder Scrollsis getting its own board game that’s a world tour of sorts across the series, and Skyrimwill be the one to kick it all off. This iteration isn’t quite a solo RPG romp though: players will control multiple heroes and troops as theyspelunk across Tamriel. It’ll arrive in late 2019.

This passage, found on the official site, clarifies how they’re rolling everything out: “The first wave of releases will be a two player starter set (that can also be played solo and co-op) and reinforcement sets of resin miniatures for both the Stormcloaks and the Imperial Army. There will also be a Dragonborne single player set, and more races and characters from across the Elder Scrolls stories are planned. A host of accessories like scenery, metal tokens, deluxe dice bags, settlement journals and more will expand your options. Planned releases will expand on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, as well as adding releases from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls Online, and more”
