Augmenting games wherein you pilot some sort of vehicle seems like an obvious choice for an Oculus Rift project, but I’ve seen less examples of the Rift in a cockpit than on the battlefield in an FPS.
This is an early build of the famous Death Star Trench Run from Star Wars. The final product would likely end up free, lest its creators face odds worse than the trench run against Disney’s endless squadrons of lawyers.
Neat! I just realized I definitely want to play the next Gran Turismo — or some racing game — with the Oculus Rift. I just hope I don’t have to have a lie down and throw up after 30 minutes of play.
