Good thing Nintendo didn’t kill it
Fire Emblem Fates was far and away the week’s best-seller, moving a combined 303,666 copies across all versions of the game. For comparison’s sake, Fire Emblem: Awakening sold 242,600 unitswhen it debuted atop the country’s weekly software charts in April 2012.
Maybe it was a good thing Nintendo decided against cancelling the series, after all.
Meanwhile, Persona 4: Dancing All Night trailed a distant second, belting out 94,036 sales in total. The rhythm game’s numbers are roughly in line with fellow spin-off Persona 4 Arena Ultimax first week sales,89,468, though still well short of mainline entries in the series and Persona Q,186,856.
At any rate, these games can’t arrive in the West soon enough!
