Can’t get enough of the boy
For the most part, this week saw little change in the premier spots of the UK video game charts. Sony’s smash-hit God of War, as we all knew it would, continues to hold a lock on the number one slot, followed by Nintendo’s Donkey Country Country: Tropical Freeze at number two and the seemingly unshakeable Far Cry 5 at number three.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 continues to enjoy a resurrection in the wake of big-screen blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War, while Ubisoft’s Egyptian adventure Assassin’s Creed Origins also found its way back into the big leagues.
Activision’s sci-fi epic Destiny 2 has also found itself back in the Top Ten for the first time in a long time. The space-shooter has obviously been scooped back off the shelves by returning fans keen to check out recent expansion Warmind. Take-Two’s Grand Theft Auto V, already bored of spending one week outside the Top Ten, returned at number nine.
Elsewhere in the charts, open-world bloodbath Conan Exiles debuted at number 13, and re-entries were made by Forza Horizon 3, Horizon: Zero Dawn and a huge return for Sony’s Shadow of the Colossus remake, which leapt from number 38 to number 15.
