Iconic voice actor not on the call sheet

Whilst we’re still very much in the dark regarding the details of Warner Bros. next Batman video game, it appears that Batman’s most recognisable voice will not be returning to portray the Dark Knight.

Speaking with website JOE, actor Kevin Conroy succinctly stated that he is not scheduled to work on the as-yet-unannounced title, teased by WB Games Montreal just last week. Conroy is, of course, a veteran voice of the Batman character, having portrayed the DC Comics hero in Batman: The Animated Series, NetherRealm’s Injustice games and Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham trilogy, among other appearances.

WB Games Montreal’s previous franchise outing, Batman: Arkham Origins, saw actor Roger Craig Smith don the cowl of the Caped Crusader (and he did a very fine job too), but as to whether Craig Smith will return for this latest adventure remains to be seen. I’m definitely ready for some fresh Batman action, and hopefully Warner Bros. will raise the curtain on this new project soon.
