The future of journalism?

I’ve just got into The Final Hours of Titanfall and I’m already impressed. This making-of digital book by Geoff Keighley covers the four-year development process of the hottest game out. It follows the team at Respawn Entertainment through their entire journey, and is packed with interviews, videos, interactive features, and lots of behind-the-scenes secrets. It’s available now for iPad, PC/Mac, and Surface, priced at $1.99.

Want to dig into a good read? A juicy story? The break from Activision for Respawn co-founders West and Zampella is plenty juicy already. But the struggles the team had to overcome in the four years they spent making Titanfall continue to draw you in. When you learn of the legal hell they were put through you’ll be amazed that Titanfall was ever released.

Of course, any fan of Titanfall should check this app out. But I’m not even close to a fan of Titanfall, and I’m blown away by this app. Keighley’s reporting is deep, thorough, and uncovers some very interesting backstory. The app’s fancy presentation has me feeling this very website you’re reading is old-fashioned, which leaves me bummed and excited at the same time. Journalism of this caliber should definitely be supported.
