Loadout devs tease update 5.0, PvE Campaign beta incoming

Four-player Campaign mode, rare in-game loot, and a new inventory system

Austin-based studio Edge of Realityhas just recentlyannounced that a new four-player PvE Campaign beta will be available prior to releasing update 5.0 for its twerktastic free-to-play competitive shooter Loadout.

The beta will be open to all Loadout players andshould be going live in the coming weeks. Details for 5.0 arescarce, but the team hasreleased a teaser trailer and this brief synopsis of what we can expect.

  • Fight the mysterious invaders with up to three of your friends in the new Campaign mode through many missions that will test your teamwork, strategy and quick thinking.
  • Grab rare loot in-game to craft your favorite weapons of mass destruction.
  • Organize your stash of weapon parts and equipment in the new Inventory system.

For participating in the update 5.0 beta, Edge of Reality will also be giving outfree Brain Scan Deflector cosmetic items (tinfoil hats) because hats.

I’m actuallypretty excited about this update! Loadout just happens to be one of my favorite multiplayer games at the moment and nowthat they are addingin a cooperative mode, I have afeeling that I’ll be spending quite a bit more timeplaying it.
