Also, Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures

People might be sore at Nintendo for joining in on the remake/remaster trend this generation, but when it does it, it tends to do it right. Not only has it addressed some minor issues in Twilight Princesswithout altering the game’s core, but it has also succeeded in touching up actual oldgames, instead of re-releasing titles that are literally still warm (cough Last of Us PS4).

Also on Wii U is Chasing Dead, Steel Rivals, andPac-Man 2: The New Adventures. I feel like I need to take a moment to explain New Adventures, because it’s freaking weird. Basically,Namco got the idea in the ’90s that Pac-Man needed to star in his own adventure game, complete with pixel-hunting elements. Except, everything is controlled by a slingshot aimed at the screen, and you could do really, really odd things like screw with Pac, stress him out, and even murder him. It’s not a very good game but I love it.

The 3DS side is less exciting, withParascientific Escape Cruise in the Distant Seas, and The Hand of Panda.

If you missed last week’s edition, hereit is. As for what I’m getting, I’ll likely be playingTwilight Princessfor another week or so going for that 100% rating, and I simply have to relive Pac-Man 2.For those who are interested, sales are going onfor both the Wii U and 3DS.
