Still into ‘Quality of Life’ field

Nintendo no longer wants to watch you sleep and — wait, did he write “nixes” in reference to shelved new Nintendo hardware ideas while the new Nintendo console is being referred to as the “NX”? What a clever writer, that fellow. Anyways.

“In regards to the Quality of Life [device], which was not mentioned in any of today’s questions, we do not have the conviction that the sleep-and-fatigue-themed [device] can enter the phase of actually becoming a product,” Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima said during an investors Q&A session translated by Wired. “We no longer have any plans to release it by the end of March 2016.”

It took four years for Nintendo to formally throw in the towel with the Wii Vitality Sensor. Maybe the company is learning.

Or, well, despite the sleep monitor being shelved, Nintendo, “still believe[s] there are things we can do in the general category of Quality of Life.”
