June’s Instant Game Collection titles announced

Sony is coming up on four years of PlayStation Plus, which, wow — sure doesn’t feel like it’s been that long. The service is changing in a couple of ways. Starting this month, it’ll take on a new format of two games per platform per month. Good for PS4 owners, I guess.

In North America, the June lineup is PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate (PS4), Trine 2: Complete Story (PS4), NBA 2K14 (PS3), Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (PS3 / PS Vita), Terraria (PS Vita), and Mutant Mudds Deluxe (PS Vita / PS3).

For Europe, it’s PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate (PS4), Trine 2: The Complete Story (PS4), NBA 2K14 (PS3), Lone Survivor (PS3 / PS Vita), Dragon’s Crown (PS Vita), and Surge Deluxe (PS Vita).

The other notable change is that, beginning in July, “every title in the Instant Game Collection will be available the first Tuesday of the month, and will be free for the month, until the first Tuesday of the following month, taking the guesswork out of how long the game will be available for free.” If you’re a subscriber, be sure to “purchase” any and all featured games (but not necessarily download them) before they get swapped out — that way, they’ll stay in your PS Plus library.
