Several recent high-profile games are included

Like a persistent group of carolers aggressively wishing you a merry Christmas while you peek through a safe window and pretend you’re not home, the PlayStation Store is back with more video game deals.

PlayStation’s 2020 Holiday Sale started today and it’s running until – wait, is that right? – January 19.

In terms of Big Games, the sale has Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ($44.99 for the PS4 edition), Assassin’s Creed Valhalla ($44.99), Ghost of Tsushima ($40.19), The Last of Us Part II ($29.99), and Final Fantasy VII Remake ($29.99). The big-name sports brands were all significantly reduced, too.

It’s curious to see Godfall knocked to $52.49 (reminder: this game normally costs 70 bucks!) and Immortals Fenyx Rising get bumped to $40.19 (including the PS4 and PS5 versions) so soon.

If you missed it, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is $44.99, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is a breezy pickup at $29.99. I’m struggling to resist Crash Bandicoot 4 at $29.99. I’m convinced I’ll finally cave.

That said, you might have better luck perusing the Under $20 section. Nothing wrong with the same old hits. Note: some deals will wrap up before the sale ends so make sure to check every game listing.
