Although Project X Zonesuffered from a bit of tedium when it was released back in 2013, the magic of being able to play with characters from Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, and Mega Manwas undeniable. Thankfully this wacky side project got a second go around, but it looks like that run might be over.
Over the weekend, folks noticed that the original game was removed entirely from the 3DS eShop. For a good day or so even owners of the game in digital form weren’t able to re-download it, but that was smoothed over last night, though the game remains missing.
As expected, licencing issues may be at play. We reached out to Bandai Namco to see what’s going on.
