Ella ella ella ay ay under its umberella ella ella ay…

As it turns out, people still love some old-fashioned scares. That’s evident by the latest news coming out of Capcom’s camp: Resident Evil HD Remasterhas broken one million units sold since its January release. That’s a lot of folks signing up for a tour of a creepy mansion.

This isn’t the remaster’s first brush with success. Soon after release, Capcom issued a statement saying that it was the fastest selling digital title in company history. Likewise, it dominated the PlayStation Store’s sales chart for the month of January.

Capcom’s celebrating the milestone by issuing a set of new Resident Evilwallpapers. The link to those is inside the publisher’s announcement post. Quick warning, though: Clicking the link automatically starts a download of a 154MB .zip file. I didn’t bother to let it finish, but there’s likely something in there for fans of the franchise.
