If the Play At Home program sounds familiar, you probably grabbed free copies of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey last year. Sony is planning another at-home giveaway for 2021, only this time, it’ll be “a series of free games and entertainment offers.” First up? Ratchet & Clank.

The 2016 Ratchet & Clank for PlayStation 4 will be free to claim – and permanently keep – if you show up between March 1 at 8:00 pm Pacific and March 31 at 8:00 pm Pacific. You’ve got a whole month!

It’s by no means the fan-favorite entry, and I wish Sony would bring the entire slate of Ratchet & Clank games forward to PS4/PS5 for anyone looking to check out or revisit the series before Rift Apart drops in June. That said, having recently gone back for the platinum trophy, it’s an enjoyable collectible-chasing platformer-shooter, one you can jump into as a newbie. And it’s gorgeous, even today.

Another offer: “extended access for new subscribers” of the anime streaming services Funimation and Wakanim on March 25. “On top of the standard 14-day trial, new users can get an additional 90 days.”

“What we outlined today is just the beginning of what’s in store for Play At Home,” Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan noted on the PlayStation Blog. “In the coming weeks, we’ll share more details on free games and entertainment offers dropping for our PlayStation community.”

Ryan promised “four months of offers” for Play At Home, so there’s plenty of room for speculation.

It’d be cool to see pretty much any of Housemarque’s arcade hits go free-to-keep to coincide with Returnal. More realistically though, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Horizon Zero Dawn pop up. The game’s current Complete Edition is $20 on the PlayStation Store – the same price as Ratchet & Clank.
