Listen bub, he’s got radioactive blood

Video game fans may currently be elbows-deep in exciting news and hot scoops, courtesy of E3 2019, but the beat goes on, so here is this week’s news regarding that bizarre window of Blighty behaviour: the UK Charts.

EA’s FIFA 19 has once again returned to the number one spot, having usurped Sony’s VR title Blood & Truth after just one week. More interestingly, excellent open-world adventure Marvel’s Spider-Man has rocketed back up the charts, climbing from number 15 to number 3. This is likely due to in-store promotions offering the game at a discount, and sending fans scurrying back up the walls of New York City once again.

Elsewhere in the charts, a number of VR games saw re-entries, including PlayStation VR Worlds at number ten, DOOM VFR at number 24 and Astro Bot Rescue Mission at number 17. Looks like Blood & Truth shifted a few headsets, wouldn’t you say? Atlus’ Nintendo 3DS release Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth debuted at number 18, which is about right for a handheld title from a niche series.
