Second global beta test starts Oct. 22

Later this month, Capcom will beta test cross-platform matches in Street Fighter V.

There are a lot of details to sift through, so let’s get to it. The game’s second global beta test is scheduled to take place from October 22, 2015 to October 25, 2015 on PlayStation 4.

On PC, there’s only a two-day window, October 24 – 25, in which to play. During that time, PS4 and PC users will be able to directly compete against each other (pending any technical disasters).

As for characters, it’s Ken, Necalli, Vega, and R. Mika to start. Rashid will join up on October 23, followed by Karin on October 24. The prior lineup (Ryu, Birdie, M. Bison, etc.) is out for now.

Other than that, expect to find ranked matchmaking, leaderboards that track all users, a player search, and unlockables to spend your Fight Money on. Do keep in mind that unlocks won’t carry over to the next round of beta testing or the final version of Street Fighter V.

As for how to get into the beta, well, Capcom has that covered. In short: pre-order Street Fighter V on Steam (all regions), or pre-order the PS4 version at select retailers in North America.
