The new retailer-exclusive amiibo shouldn't be hard to get

Good news for you and Mii

Continuing the recent trend of “Hey, amiibo aren’t that hard to find anymore,” the next North American release looks like it won’t be that hard to find. And, the reason for that isn’t just because this is the first group of amiibo where almost no one has an allegiance to the characters.

On November 1, the Mii Fighter trio will release exclusively at Toys”R”Us. The three-pack — made up of Mii Brawler, Mii Gunner, and Mii Swordfighter — doesn’t exactly have the cachet of Mario or Ness or any of the 47 already-released Smash Bros. line of amiibo. Still, it’s being mass-produced in what should prove to be sufficient numbers to meet demand.

According to a thread on the amiibo subreddit, the Mii Fighters are shipping out to some stores already. The screenshot shows inventory for 19 stores in the western part of the United States. Somewhere around 90 units seems to be the average of this sample, with 48 being the low-end and 208 being the upper extreme.

These numbers are very similar to the quantities of the mid-September release atToys”R”Us. During that, there was no problem waltzing into the store to pick up a Bowser Jr. exclusive amiibo. Demand will probably be roughly the same for the Mii Fighters, because we’re to the point where a lot of people aren’t buying because they love the character; they’re buying because they love amiibo.
