Who do you want to see?

Three stages down, one to go. As the Overwatch League prepares to enter its last stage of competition next week, Blizzard has shared its plans for the inaugural Grand Finals set to take place July 27-28.

The event is coming to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with a $1.4 million prize pool up for grabs. Six teams will compete in the Overwatch League playoffs from July 11-21 in the usual Los Angeles spot, and then the top two will square off at the Grand Finals in New York.

New York Excelsior fans will more than likely have a chance to go wild for their boys during the Grand Finals, but who else is in the running? Looking over the regular season scoreboard, NYXL is the number-one team with a dominant 27-3 record followed by Boston Uprising at 22-8, London Spitfire at 20-10, Seoul Dynasty at 19-11, Los Angeles Valiant at 18-12, and Philadelphia Fusion at 18-12.

With the way Stage 3 ended (Boston Uprising went undefeated, but ultimately lost to NYXL in the playoffs) and the way Stage 4 is shaping up (Brigitte is coming in hot), I’m expecting shakeups.

Assuming everyone brings their A game, we should be in for a show. The Grand Finals will be a best-of-three series “with the winner being the first team to win two best-of-five matches.”

Two-day tickets will be available starting Friday, May 18 at 10:00am Eastern from Ticket Master and the Barclays Center. “One-day tickets will go on sale at a later date, subject to availability.”
