Horizon Chase Turbo and… PES 2019?
I’m not sure this is what we had in mind when Sony decided to consolidate its PlayStation Plus lineup down to a selection of just two PS4 titles per month. For July 2019, we’re looking at Horizon Chase Turbo– a throwback racing game – and Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. What a strange pairing!
Between the two, you’re probably more curious about Horizon Chase Turbo. What even is it?
“Of all of the retro revival games that have come out over the past few years, it is near the top of my personal list of favorites,” Joel said in his review last year. “Horizon Chase Turbo succeeds in being a worthy successor to Top Gear and doesn’t try to pretend to do much else beyond that.”

As for PES 2019, talk about a highly focused pick. I won’t say that sports games should never make the cut for PlayStation Plus subscribers – some definitely should! – but this? Sony can do better.
