‘Unusual’ map layouts planned

The next batch of Rocket League DLC is gearing up for an October release on PC and PS4. As always, some of it will be free, some paid. Everyone is getting variants of the maps Urban Station (set at night) and Utopia Coliseum (set at dusk), plus new country and community flags.

The game’s second paid content pack, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, will release on the same day (though we don’t know what that exact date is yet). For $3.99, you’ll get:

  • Two classic SARPBC cars (Scarab and Zippy)
  • Twelve decals (six for each new car)
  • Three paint types (Toon Glossy, Toon Matte, Toon Wood)
  • Two wheels (Scarab and Zippy)
  • Two rocket boosts (Accelerato and Battle-Stars)
  • Four toppers (Cavalier, Locomotive, Pixelated Shades, Shark Fin)
  • Two antennas (Retro Balls)
  • New Trophies (PS4) and Achievements (Steam)

This is what the vehicles and gear look like in glorious action:

Best news? Psyonix says it has maps with “unusual layouts and settings” in the pipeline.

The year of Rocket League continues.
