They’re all worth playing

[Update: Bandai Namco Europe has confirmed to Destructoid that Europe will not be getting Dark Souls Trilogy. A rep stated that “this was a US and Asia announcement only…Dark Souls fans in Europe can still get their fix on October 19th – with the release of Dark Souls: Remastered for the Nintendo Switch console.”]

Straight ‘outta Gamescom, Bandai Namco announced today something we all saw coming eventually: a Dark Souls Trilogyset.

Launching for PS4 and Xbox One only it’ll be a three-disc set for $80, launching on October 19 with a steelbook case. In case you were wondering yep, the original will be the new Remasterededition and the other two will include all DLC (three packs for Dark Souls 2, two for Dark Souls III). All three games are worth playing and this set doesequal out to the rough MSRP of Remastered($40), Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin($20) and Dark Souls III: The Fire FadesEdition($20): so it’s not a bad deal, especially for collectors.

Bandai Namco is claiming that the set will be “limited in numbers” across the Americas which could very well be a pre-order tactic, or a very real statement. If you recall Japan got a really different box set earlier this year that was roughly $450.
