Xbox One sold 23,562 units in Japan during its opening week,Famitsu reports, while data tracking firm Media Create estimatesa total of 25,674. The numbers are ugly no matter how you slice them.
For reference, the Wii U and PlayStation 4 both moved more than 300,000 units in their Japanese debuts, while Xbox 360 launch figures in the country topped 60,000 in 2005.
Japan’s best-selling Xbox One game thus far is Titfanfall, with 22,416 copies sold.Kinect Sports Rivals and Dead Rising 3 trail at number two and three with 14,191 and 7,330 sales, respectively.
