Borderlands has a history of giving out free stuff in the weirdest, most annoying ways possible outside of all of the free and paid true “DLC” offerings.
Gearbox loves its Shift Code system and 2K loves its “scour the official website and get free goodies” marketing concept, and in tandem they can be quite the gruesome twosome compared to other publishers that just patch in that same content automatically. This giveaway is Twitter-based, but we’re here to help you out because a few of these things rule.
First of all the code is “K9W3T-BJZ59-B9SHB-6B3JT-T9CFF” and it’ll net you four Halloween-themed heads (read: cosmetic head replacements) for free, one for each class. You have until November 4 at 11:59PT to redeem them, at which point they’ll go away (presumably until next year). Unfortunately, each head is class-locked, and FL4K gets the clear-cut worst one (Flat Top Frankenstein).
While you can do it in-game, the easiest way is to just log in here (you’re probably going to reset the password for this account you only use once every seven years or so) and plug the code in.
